As the chief operations officer, Corinne (she/her) leads Wonder’s operations, finance, and team culture. With a deep understanding for how Wonder does its work, she supports the growth and development of Wonder and its team, balancing individual and organizational needs.
Prior to Wonder, Corinne explored issues and questions of social justice as a researcher at public opinion research firm Goodwin Simon Strategic Research; through a MA in Social Justice, where she worked with young activists in Johannesburg, South Africa on a community-based research project to advocate for better living conditions; and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Lesotho.
She lives in western Massachusetts now, by way of Denmark, Vermont, South Africa, Lesotho, and California. Outside of work, she is raising thoughtful kids, coaching, playing or watching soccer, enjoying the beauty of seasonal living, and listening to her sweet, aging dog snore.
What motivates you to do this work?
“I’ve always been deeply empathetic and had a strong sense of right and wrong. As a result, I’ve long-tried to interrogate my privilege in this world and do what I can to make the world better. I feel a sense of responsibility and pride working with other people, making incremental, but progressive change. As Arundhati Roy says, ‘Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
What’s your superpower?
“Organized efficiency. I like spreadsheets. I like making plans. I like accomplishing things quicker than someone thought was possible.”
