As a strategist and account director at Wonder: Strategies for Good, Alyah (she/her) partners with social advocates and changemakers on messaging, narrative change and audience research to address some of the most pressing issues we face as a society. Alyah is a communications leader with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to accelerating progressive social change. She specializes in working with nonprofits to develop messaging that moves people to action and has more than a decade of experience supporting activists and community members with sharing their stories.
Prior to joining Wonder, Alyah led external communications for a global nonprofit working to advance gender equity and justice across 16 countries. She also led statewide advocacy and political campaigns to protect reproductive health and rights in Texas, and she managed communications for the largest provider of affordable housing in Central Texas. Alyah began her career as a political journalist. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Minor in Spanish from the University of Missouri-Columbia and Master’s degree in International Media from American University.
Alyah is the proud daughter of immigrants, an outdoor enthusiast and an aunt to the sweetest nephews and niece. She is based in Austin, Texas.
